A SALE? AT SEPHORA? Yes, you read that correctly. One of the greatest times of the year (in my opinion) is when Sephora does their annual Fall VIB (Very Important Beauty) insider sale which gives Sephora card members an opportunity to receive 15-20% off their entire purchase. While the discount may not seem much, as a student with limited funds, I will take any opportunity to save money on luxury beauty items. Plus, it gives me the opportunity to stock up on my favourite makeup, skin care and hair products as well as try out new and exciting makeup products that I have been eyeing for a while!

Below are some of the NEW and exciting products that I purchased and my first impressions!

Maison Martin Margiela: REPLICA By the Fireplace Eau de Toilette

Now that it is official sweater weather (WOO!), it was time to purchase a scent that would reflect the season of fall. By The Fireplace is the epitome of fall as it encompasses the essence and desirability of this time of year. What makes this fragrance interesting is that it is classified as unisex because of its unique blend of warm, spicy and sweet undertones. With key notes of clove, chestnut and vanilla, this fragrance reflects the feeling and scents of a cold fall day while being surrounded by a crackling fireplace creating an overall sense of comfort.

My Thoughts and Impressions:

∗ Fragrance bottle is durable and uniquely shaped which makes it stand out compared to  other fragrances on the market

∗ Quite $$$, but it is an investment item as this fragrance is potent and high quality

∗ The description, undertones and aroma perfectly reflect the name of the scent

∗ The scent stays prominent for hours and fades nicely throughout the ☀️ or 🌙

NUDESTIX: Smokey Gold Eyes Mini Set 

Price: CAD $28 • Sephora Rating: 3/5 • Size: 3 × 0.088 oz/2.5 g

BITE BEAUTY: Matte Crème Lip Crayon in Glacé

Price: CAD $28 • Sephora Rating: 4.6/5 • Size: 0.05 oz/1.56 g 

These lip crayons provide high pigment colour and are offered in a variety of shades which means the perfect colour is waiting for you 😉. The matte formula is non-drying, water-resistant and keeps the lips smooth and hydrated. Wears well for hours and can be easily touched up without any fuss.

My Thoughts and Impressions:

∗ Application is simple, easy and precise

∗ Matte formula is not overly drying and feels weightless on the lips

∗ Wears well and fades gradually and evenly over time 🕒

∗ Glacé is pigmented and the name perfectly describes the shade – a stunning dusty mauve

∗ Formulated and crafted at the brand’s facility in Toronto which means I am supporting a local Canadian business! 🇨🇦
